With USVetsDeliver, you can order from Humboldt County's Best Local Restaurants and have it delivered to the comfort of your home, or have lunch catered for your crew cheaper than most App-based delivery services.
USVetsDeliver doesn't charge Local Restaurants anything for providing this service to their customers. This is our way of supporting the many great Local Restaurants in our community during these trying times.
All we ask is customers pay a 15% Delivery Fee ($10 minimum delivery fee) and Tip your driver. No more 27-30% in hidden up-charges on your food!
(Delivery areas are McKinleyville to Eureka. Delivery rates are the same for outlying areas, but we do ask you tip your driver well if you live more than 5 miles from the restaurant you are ordering from.)
How's it work?
Follow these Simple Steps
1) Before You Order, Please Text USVets Dispatch at (707) 298-9595 to check on driver availability. Now you can Reserve a delivery hours or days in advance! You know when you want to eat. By Reserving a Delivery you can have your food when you want it!!
2) Call your favorite restaurant and place your order.
Find out when your order will be ready, and let them know USVetsDeliver will pick-up your order.
3) Text USVets Dispatch with the following information:
A) Restaurant Name & Location (if several locations exist)
B) Food Total (ie Food Total $87.50)
C) Your Name & Delivery Address
D) Time order will be ready
4) A USVetsDeliver Driver will contact you to provide information and updates about your order and delivery status.
5) Get ready to enjoy great food again!!

All USVetsDeliver Drivers are able to take Cash or Card payments.

Why Only Local Restaurant Delivery?

Humboldt County has many great restaurants to choose from, but most of these great restaurants don't deliver through App-based delivery services. One of the greatest reasons is the 25-30% they charge for delivery service. Though they may keep a restaurant very busy, they also interrupt the normal flow of a restaurant's service and interaction with their customers.
USVetsDeliver has chosen a more natural approach to how it serves some of the finest establishments Humboldt County has to offer.
Firstly, customers have the choice to have their food delivered from any local restaurant they choose. (However, we do not deliver from fast food chains.) This is a subtle notion not captured by normal App-based services, because they have a limited list of restaurants they serve. Due to the natural inclination of customers to choose the first restaurant on that list which appeals to them, top listed restaurants will see an unnatural increase in orders, while those further down the list may see no change or even a decrease in orders.
This unnatural increase may seem like a boon to business, but at what cost? Obvious questions are: Will they be able to keep up with demand? Will their overall service and quality decline due to the overwhelming volume? Will their regular customers suffer because so much of their time is spent on this sudden influx of quick orders? Are these Apps more a benefit or hinderance to the natural flow of a restaurant? Is the increase in business worth the loss of profit?
USVetsDeliver's approach helps bring things back to a natural balance while supporting our fine local establishments. With a wider variety of options among Humboldt's Best Restaurants customer choices are expanded, while also taking the burden off very busy restaurants being charged a premium to provide this service for their customers. Not to mention the large amount of money extracted from the area by corporations with no stake, or major investment in the community.
Because these companies don't know Humboldt County, they create more problems than opportunities, and return very little to those providing the service of delivering to thousands of Humboldt residents every week. On average 60% of an App-based Delivery Driver's income is tips alone. Which means these companies take hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the community every week.
For these reasons, USVetsDeliver has decided to offer delivery service from Humboldt's Best Local Restaurants.
Through USVetsDeliver, our local restaurants will be able to provide delivery service to their customers at No Additional Cost to the restaurant, customers will save money compared to the 25-30% App-based Services charge in hidden up-charges, drivers will make a decent wage for their work, and all the money generated stays in the community. That’s a Win-Win-Win all around.
